Our Community Centre has a selection of rooms that are available to hire for your next event, community group, meeting or family gathering. Check out our rooms and halls below and click 'book now' to secure your booking.

Main Hall

Jim Gilbert Room

Our Main Hall is a large multipurpose space with a stage area and upstairs mezzanine floor. With lots of natural daylight, a stage and a large commercial kitchen, this space is ideal for weddings, birthdays, recitals, conferences and large gatherings.

 

The maximum capacity using both downstairs and upstairs mezzanine area is 260 people.

Weekly Hall Hire from 8am - 6pm: $30 an hour

Function, weekend and weeknight hire:  First 6 hours at $100 an hour then $30 for every hour afterwards. Minimum of 4 hours. 

Small Hall

Ivan Burgess Room

Our small hall is a smaller multipurpose space for meetings, rehearsals, functions, exercise and dance. It has wooden floors, lots of natural daylight and has mirrors across one wall. It has a small kitchenette for tea & coffee and serving food.

 

The space set up is very flexible and will fit 50 people standing.

Weekly Hall Hire from 8am - 6pm: $25 an hour

Function, weekend and weeknight hire:  $60 an hour

Mezz Room

Located on top floor

The Mezzanine Room is a small multipurpose space for meetings, tutorials, classes and teaching, writing groups, community gatherings, training, workshops - anything that needs a space with tables and chairs! There is a sink for art or craft activities.

This room can host groups of 20 people or less. Please note that there is no wheelchair access to this room as it is located on the top floor of the building.

Hire cost:  $18 per hour

Green Room

Located backstage

The Green Room is a small multipurpose space for meetings, tutorials, classes and teaching, writing groups, community gatherings, training, workshops - anything that needs a space with tables and chairs!

​

This room also works well as a backstage changing room that can be hired along side the main hall & stage if you're putting on a performance.

​​

This room has a capacity of 15 people.

​

Hall hire: $10 - $15 an hour

Lodge Room

Located downstairs

The Lodge Room is a small multipurpose space for meetings, classes, writing groups, community gatherings, training, workshops - anything that needs a space with tables and chairs!

 

The room comes with a kitchen, private entrance and toilets.

This room has a capacity limit of 25 people

Hire cost:  $25 per hour

Scout Room

Located downstairs

The Iona Scout Hall is a great space for meetings, rehearsals, exercise and dance. It has a private entrance, wooden floors and a small kitchenette for tea, coffee and serving food.

 

The space will fit up to 40 people standing and has access to a unisex toilet.

Hall hire: From $25 - $60 an hour

Armanasco House

Located offsite at 578 Blockhouse Bay Road, Blockhouse Bay

Armanasco house is a unique and historic venue for small gatherings. It was restored by volunteers and contains antiques and ornaments from its era (1890).

 

Suitable for 25 people, this space would work well for small functions, private meetings, workshops or a unique wedding venue.

 

Please note: This venue is not suitable for children' s birthday parties. â€‹
