Do you want to celebrate your favourite marine creature at the Whau Arts Festival on the 18th of October? Do you need some help making a puppet?
Well look no further because Melissa Laing, Juliette Laird and Christina Houghton are coming down to our Scout Hall on the 10th of October from 10am to help you make a fish, mud crab or tuna (eel) out of found and recycled materials.
This workshop is for both adults and young tamariki (8 years and up). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult (who is welcome to also make a puppet).
This workshop is in conjunction with the Fishy Parade that's happening at Archibald Park on the18th of October 2025 at 6.00pm winding its way along the Te Whau Pathway. This is a celebration of the creatures large and small that make up our local marine ecology and we look forward to helping you create them!
